12 weeks old & Debra's wedding

It's hard to believe it, but Cam is actually 12 weeks old! He has gotten so big and now into 3-6 month clothes. I always heard they would outgrow their clothes really fast but I have to inventory his wardrobe each week and pack up more clothes that he has alreday outgrown! He is sleeping through th night and trying to rollover. He can reach at toys and even make then play music. He is growing up so fast!
Camden got to go to his first wedding this weekend. One of my best friends Debra Nugent got married this weekend and I was in the wedding. Trey brought Cam in for the ceremony (which was lovely) and then we all went to the reception downtown at the Central Train Station. It was a great time and Camden did pretty good. The band was great, but a little loud for such little ears, so we left a little early. Also I included some pictures of Camden in his Texas Tech onesie and "kleats". Actually they are socks, that his Aunt Tracy bought him that have laces and look like real shoes. His daddy is really excited about football season and he and Cam getting to watch the games together every Saturday!

Camden in his swim trunks!

With Uncle Ricky (my dad's brother) and below with "Aunt Fam" (my best friend from college)

Cam loves swimming in the bathtub

Bed time in his cute pj's from "Aunt Brooke"

Beautiful "Home Run" quilt that Aunt Marie made us, Thank you!!

We had a lot of fun times the past few weeks. The three of us went to Lake Martin in Alabama for our annual lake trip with our friends the Dukes and Kelley Fam & her fiance Luke. We have been going to Brooke's family's lakehouse for the past four years. It was a great time with friends however the weather was not our friend. Faye made her way into Alabama and it rained the whole time we were there. We didn't get to go out on the lake at all, but we had fun visiting and cooking and playing games. I included a few photos of Trey and Cam on the pier the Friday we got there when the weather wasn't quite so bad. Of course we have some bathtime pictures which Camden loves! We also made it by my uncle Ricky's house in Birmingham which was a great visit! I also put up a pic of the beautiful quilt that my great aunt Marie Jones made for Camden. It is a baseball themed quilt that couldn't be more appropriate for our family:) Thank you Aunt Marie! Camden is getting bigger everyday he is now in 3 month old clothes and at his last visit he weighed 13 pounds (75th percentile) and was 24 1/2 inches long (90th percentile!) he is doing really well at the babysitters and sleeps through the night for dad when I go to work three nights a week. Pray for my work, it has been especially challenging for me lately and I am trying to work through the difficulties I've been having.

August Activities

We have had alot going on this first few weeks of August. Trey's uncle Gene from Dallas came in and we celebrated his birthday with him. Then last weekend Trey's grandmother Maylene came to visit and we celebrated her birthday early as well. We joined Getwell Road United Methodist Church and Camden went to church for the first time. See his sweet picture in his "outfit" as Trey calls it (he doesn't care much for the sweet dressy clothes for a boy!) Camden did really good, we didn't put him in the nursery b/c he hasn't had his vaccinations yet. But he slept through most of the service and we gave him a bottle and had to leave once to change his diaper but other than that he was perfect. We are talking with the preacher to have him baptized/dedicated in the next month or so. We want him to be raised in a Christian home and this is ours and the church's way of promising to God that this is our plan. Camden is getting so big and he really has a sweet disposition. I love our time together in the mornings because he and I have our "coffee talks". I tried to include a video of it for you to see but it took too long to upload so I will try again later. He looks around alot and coos and smiles more in the morning. It is really special. I also have included pictures from Camden's 8 week pose with the stuffed giraffe and sock monkey. He has gotten so big!! On another note, pray that our babysitter gets better. I started back to work this week and Cam was to go to a lady who lives across the street from us, but after I left to head to work Rochelle called and said she had to be rushed to the hospital Friday night because she was having a panic attack and thought her throat was swelling shut and then she ended up being diagnosed with strep throat. I just hope that she is better and that our arrangement will work out for next week. We had to scramble to enlist all the help we could get to watch the baby so I could get back to work. And pray for Bryce Duke who is in town with his mom my best friend Brooke. He fell while at his Cappy's house off of an ottoman and broke his clavicle! It was a freak accident and he is doing ok, but has a sling and is in some pain. Poor thing!

Pictures from July

5 weeks old. He likes the giraffe! Thanks Tim & Laura Lee!

Ok, here are some pictures from the past few weeks. I got the idea from another friend to take a picture of Cam every month next to the same stuffed animal to show how big he has gotten so we chose a sock monkey and giraffe and I sat him next to them in his rocker in the nursery. He didn't mind too much, but as you can see in the second shot he gave me a look that I get often from Trey, like "Mom, why are we doing this your being silly again..." Like I said before he loves to smile now and especially likes playing with his colorful toys and smile at himself in the mirror! It is so adorable.God has been really good and just when I start to feel weary and emotional, Camden will learn something new and smile at me and make me forget about what it was that was bothering me. We have lots of new photos of our son, so enjoy!

Giving me the daddy face - "I'm over it!

Wearing our Polo outfit that Aunt Fam gave us!

Wearing the robe and slippers Amanda & Casey gave us..not a happy camper! I think it was the shoes!

So sweet and peaceful

Smiling at himself and cooing is one of his new favorite things

Growing and Learning

I'm sorry I haven't posted in a while. Mostly I haven't b/c my laptop isn't working and I lost the usb cord for the camera to download pics and video. I ordered a new computer and a new cord last night so I will be posting the new pictures as soon as I can. I may just go up to Walgreen's and burn them on a cd so I can share them now, there are some great ones! Camden went to the Dr. last week and weighs 10 lbs and is 22 1/2 inches long. He started smiling last week and it is the best thing in the world! That little gummy grin melts our hearts and makes all the work worth it:) He got to visit his other great granny Cresswell a few weeks ago when we all (camden, trey, me, mom, dad, tracy, alan, misty, jimmy & walker) went down to Philadelphia, MS for a little family vaca at the casinos and waterpark. We took turns watching the kids while everyone had their hand at poker, slots, and blackjack. Tracy, Alan, Jimmy, Misty & I took Walker to the waterpark which was fun, I won $265 on a slot, and bought mom a massage for babysitting. We pigged out on buffets and crablegs! It was a great trip and Cam did really good. He is now in his 7th week and really starting to coo, squeal & "talk" to us! I have made some videos and some cute pictures of him smiling. He loves to look at colorful toys and smile at himself in the mirror. He likes baths and eating:) On a lighter note, I went for my 6 week checkup yesterday and have lost 28 lbs! I still want to lose more, but I felt good about it. I return to work in 2 weeks and can't say I'm looking forward to it, but it will be good to get out of the house and enjoy the company of adults. stay tuned with more updates and pictures...

Birth Announcements Went out

Photobucket
Hopefully everyone received their birth announcements in the mail. I sent them out Monday after a little run in with the post office. Turns out that the envelopes that I ordered and designed everything around were non standard size and therefore required 20 extra cents postage on each one. I had them all come back to me and I had to go to the post office and buy more postage and put them on there at the post office. They didn't have enough so I still have a few that are due to go out if you haven't gotten yours I included a photo of them for you to see. Hope you enjoy!

Fourth of July visit with Greatgrandparents

This past holiday weekend Camden got to meet alot of his great grandparents. We went down to Hickory Flat where my mom's dad lives ("Pa") and spent the night with him and my cousins and mom. Camden slept well in the country, he slepted 6 hours in a row that night a record for him! Mom said it was because he was in the country and relaxed! Then we visited more with family the next morning and headed back to Southaven Friday afternoon for a 4th of July BBQ & fireworks (which we missed since we were breastfeeding inside at the time- part of being a mom!) at his Grandad and Grandma Lunsford's house. Trey's grandparents from Texas came in to see their first greatgrandchild along with Trey's Aunt Rene (all seen above) they all doated on Camden and were so sad to leave. Camden sat outside with his Great Grandma during the first part of the barbeque and we put his shades on because it was bright out:)It was a great visit and we cooked out several times and celebrated Rene's 50th birthday and they also came by our house to see Cam's nursery. We tried to visit with them as much as possible during their short visit since we probably won't get to see them again until Thanksgiving or possibly Christmas. Camden loved being passed around and seemed to be happy in whoever's arms he was in. He is so blessed to have such a large and wonderfully loving family! The final pictures are of my nephew Walker. He was helping me water the yard and decided to play in the sprinkler and he too is being a cool cat in his shades like his cousin Camden.
