We were busy the past couple of weekends- we had two birthday parties to go to and we were invited to another but couldn't quite fit it in. Saturday was our good friends from Ms State's little girl's Harper Hesser's third birthday. She had her party at the little gym in memphis and it was so fun. Camden couldn't do too much but we helped him on the rings, the bouncy pad, and the balance beam. He had fun and all the little kids kept coming up to him and hugging him! Then Sunday Camden's cousin Walker (my brother's son) had his second birthday. It was Elmo themed and Jimmy dressed in an Elmo costume which was hysterical. He had the voice down and everything and it was quite entertaining! And they had a mini moon bounce that was fun for all the bigger kids. I think the exposure to all the kids gave Camden his first cold. He was sick all last week with a runny nose, cough and just feeling yucky. It was tough the first few days b/c he wasn't sleeping good, but then it passed and he is back to his normal happy self. I hated it b/c there wasn't much I could do you can't give a baby his age any medicines really so we just had to wait it out! Also he sprouted two new teeth! So that on top of the cold made for a long week, but he is doing great now. Next week he will be 8 months old which is unbelieveable....Last weekend mom, Tracy and I enjoyed a long spa day. We had gotten mom a head to toe package for graduating nursing school and we decided that we couldn't bear for her to go it alone so we tagged along. We all got massages, pedicures and manicures and mom and I got facials it was unbelieveable. I am trying to figure a way to work that into our monthly budget so I can go back more often!! I also got my Valentine's day gift early -it is a mommy necklace that I have had my eye on. On one pendant it says Camden and on the other it has my wedding date 12.03.2005 and I also got a little pearl which is Camden's birth stone. I love it and lots of people have asked me about it and where to get one.

This is the cute Texas Tech onesie that Chad and Jana Duncan gave us in Dallas Thank ya'll soo much! We love it!

Camden playing with a football that G'ma Jo Jo gave us!

Getting ready to take Wrigley on a walk.
Not much going on, we went to the Brad Paisley concert on Thursday it was really fun we got to sit in the Budweiser box which was nice! Other than that work is going well. Trey was awarded Manager of the Year at his company Friday night. It was a great honor and we are so proud of him and his well deserved honor he is such a hard worker! I am gearing up for a certification exam for critical nurses. It is pretty difficult and I have to have a year's worth of hours at the bedside before I can take it so I have a couple more months before I am able to sit for it but I'm trying to study early. I will let everyone know when I set my date to take the CCRN exam so I can get lots of prayers!! We are just laying low right now and trying to do our best to save money in these hard economic times. With the new president being sworn in this week, please pray that the country will go in the right direction and that God will guide his hand and decisions and that the country will prosper in spite of such an lean economy and job market.

We're Back!
So Christmas went great, it was alot of traveling but well worth it. We had a great visit with all the grandparents and great grandparents. Grandma & Grandad Schulle were kind enough to let us occupy half the house with all of Camden's paraphenalia and we had a great time. Camden got totally spoiled for his first Christmas and it would take us a month and a million thank you cards to thank everyone for all his gifts so I want to say a HUGE thank you to all the family for the wonderful and thoughtful toys, clothing, books, baseball memorabilia, etc. It was overwhelming how much he got! He has been enjoying it all! He won't remember any of this Christmas but his favorite part was playing with the wrapping paper. Next year should be fun when he actually understands that these gifts are for him! While in Brownwood Camden got to see his first longhorns and mommy and daddy had their hands at target practice with Trey's dad's pistols which was really fun. Camden did pretty good on the long trip the normal 10 hour drive took us about 12 though b/c when he started getting restless or fussy we hoped off the hwy and took a break. We got back home for a couple of days and I worked NYE and when I got off when headed off again to Dallas for the Cotton Bowl. This time we BYOB (brought our own babysitter) my mom (CC) rode along with us to help with Camden while we traveled and when Trey and I went to the game which was fun but of course disappointing since the Red Raiders lost!! There was a big pregame party at Uncle Gene's house and the whole house was decorated Red and Black to support Tech. We rode a shuttle to game (no worries with parking) our friends Chad and Jana Duncan came in and we sat with them at the game and they got to meet Cam for the first time. It was actually very hot at the game. After the game Gene hosted a full party with awesome food and lots of people came by. My friends from Memphis Debra & Brent Williams, Ashley & Tommy, Micah & Erica Miller were all there to support Ole Miss and came by to visit. We had the best time! Another of Trey's friends, Jon Blann & fiance Casey, who we see about once a year drove about 2 hours to come see us and meet the baby. Then Saturday mom, Gene and I went for a grand tour of the city. We had the best tour guide. Gene showed us all the monster mansion, including a few of his own as well as where the Bushs are planning to reside after office, where Kennedy was shot, shopping, etc. It was fantastic day! We all went out for an awesome dinner at Screendoor a southern food inspired fine dining restaurant that night. We came back on Sunday and it went very smoothly, we listened to a book on tape making the trip fly by. All in all it was a great weekend! A Huge thank you goes out to Gene and Floyd for allowing us to crash for 3 days and for all the wonderful meals and chauffeuring around the Big D!! Pictures are coming I am updating this when I get breaks in my schedule, so I have lots of pictures to post in a slide show so check back.

Christmas Photo Shoot

We did our 6 month photo shoot at our home last week with Kim Miller of Ramblin Rose Photography and they turned out beautifully!! We went with the Christmas theme and used our own decorations as a back drop. Camden did great and he looks like a doll. Such a big boy at 6 months!
Grandaddy is so funny! His mustache tickles too!
still laughing at Grandaddy Cresswell!
Visiting the "Recession economically challenged Santa" (that's what we thought about it) with Walker- but, hey it was free!
Just a little mean look
Camden's full out "Mean Mug" face.. you better watch it!!
At an ugly Christmas sweater party we helped host last week. Trey was Clark Griswold and I was an elf (note the tree skirt I wore as a real skirt, didn't do much for the figure but was funny!) We are gearing up for our many different Christmas functions in the next few days! We have a total of 6 different Christmas' to go to this year. First mom's side at my house Friday, my Granny's in Tupelo at her nursing facility, my immediate family at my house Sunday, Trey's immediate family on Tuesday, our own family Wednesday am, then off to Texas for Great Grandma Maylene and the Schulle Christmas in west Texas. Then the next week on New Year's Day we are going to Dallas again to stay with Trey's Great Uncle Gene in his beautiful antebellum home for the Cotton Bowl. CC is traveling with us to watch Cam while Trey and I go watch the Texas Tech Red Raiders (trey's alma mater) beat the Ole Miss Rebels!! We have gone to bowl games the past two years and we always have fun, plus we have alot of friends going to watch Ole Miss play so we are really looking forward to visiting all them as well. Camden is officially 6 mths old. We had his 6 mth shoot with Kim Miller of Ramblin Rose last week and I cannot wait to share them when she uploads them to her site I will. Here are some new shots of him growing up. He went to see Santa with his cousin Walker and there are some next to his stuffed animals so you can chart his growth. He has started making what Trey and I call the "mean mug" face where he snorts really fast and makes an awful face. He isn't mad, just wanting attention I think. Mom said I used to do it as a baby! Speaking of mom, she just graduated from nursing school! We are all so proud of her! It has been a grueling 2 1/2 years and she came out shining. She even was asked to speak at graduation! The class started with 75 and dwindled to around 25 at graduation so we are so impressed that she made it and with flying colors. It was tough and now she is trying to figure out what she wants to do. for now she will stay put and may go to part time to orient as an RN and then who knows! Congrats CC!! Pray for our safe travel around here and in Texas in the next few weeks we have had some inclement weather the past couple days around here and we don't want any driving problems! Hope everyone has a very Merry CHRISTmas and a wonderful new Years. Safe Travels to you all as well!

MEEERRRRRYYYY CHRISTMAS!!!!

So sorry i haven't updated in so long!! I guess I didn't realize how busy we've been we had Thanksgiving and I've been working and going to classes at work, Christmas shopping, decorating, mailing out cards and just haven't seemed to have the time! But Camden is almost 6 months old now! Rolling over is a daily occurence and now sitting up is our new thing. He laughs alot and is constantly smiling, everyone always comments what a happy baby he is. Truly there are days that he never sheds a tear, I hope I didn't just jinx myself with that last one. He is sleeping great, eating great. We are now on to fruits and veggies and he loves them all. So far he seems to favor carrots and oatmeal with apple juice. we are really working with him to try and get him to crawl, but as soon as I put him on his tummy for tummy time, he is rolling right over to his back! No teeth yet, but sure is working on them! Also, this past week Trey and I celebrated our 3rd wedding anniversary and my 29th birthday! It is so hard to believe we have been married for 3 years and together for 7! I guess time flies when you are having fun. We had a really romantic and delicious dinner at Flemings a nice steak place in Memphis while Jo Jo babysat and last night we went out for my birthday with a big group of friends to Cafe 61 my favorite restaurant downtown. It was kind of hectic (there were 16 people) but really fun! I am really blessed to have such wonderful friends and family and a beautiful husband and baby. I am praying that this recession won't affect us too bad although it's hard not to worry even though I think Trey and I have pretty secure jobs, you never know. We are going really light on Christmas this year and basically not doing too much for Camden's first Christmas. I don't think he will miss out on anything and Lord knows the child doesn't need much of anything! I will post more pictures after we take some 6 month pictures and from our respective Christmas' we are making the trek to Texas (about a 13 hour drive) so that should be interesting! I am a little nervous about how Camden will do and logistics of having a 6 mth old in a car for that long, but we are determined to make it work. There is a lot of family anxious to see our sweet little boy and we cannot wait to show him off! Keep us in your prayers...

5 months old
5 months old!
I just love the look on his face!
Camden is starting to eat veggies!

I love mommy!

Camden trying to learn how to push up and scoot
So Camden is growing like a weed! At his last doctor's visit he weighed 16 pounds, but that was a few weeks ago so I'm sure he is much bigger now. The doctor gave us a feeding schedule for him to start solid foods! As a nursing mom, I have to say that this is sort of a relief! I plan to still nurse for a few more months or until I can't do it anymore, but now I am not his only source of food and as you can tell he requires alot! So far he has tried most of the veggies (we were told to start with those instead of fruit or he would never try them after having the fruits). He loves oatmeal cereal and rice. It is an adventure everytime we feed him. We have to have a drop cloth, bib, wet towels and sometimes I even wear an apron! It's so funny though and Camden loves when Trey does the "spoon airplane" he just smiles and laughs as he opens his mouth for the next bite! We are gearing up for Thanksgiving and Christmas which is a juggling act this year since nurses have to work alot of holidays- unfortunately people don't stop getting sick for the holidays! We went to see Granny in Tupelo where she is in the hospital last week and she looked better than expected. They now have discovered that she didn't have kidney cancer, but rather liver cancer on all lobes and is not healthy enough for chemo at this time. She is still sharp as a tack and was still laughing and telling us her famous stories in the hospital bed. Keep her in your prayers!
