Professional Pictures

Last week we had the same photographer who took all of our engagement, wedding and bridal pictures come to the house and shoot us with Camden. It was quite entertaining, Wrigley (our miniature schnauzer) even joined in a couple of shots! Kim (the photographer) stripped down Cam and shot him on some material that she brought which he did not like! but the rest of the shoot went really well. Camden was very alert and seemed to pose in several shots. She also took a cue from Tom cruise and Katie Holmes with their Suri shoot in the bed. We got on our bed all dressed in white and took some really sweet shots. I am so happy with how they turned out and if you want to see all of them go to www.ramblinrosephotography.com
Click on Proofing, then Family and Children and type in Camden Lunsford. I included a few of my favorites.

A HUGE thanks!!

I just wanted to give a huge thank you to everyone who has come by to see Camden and a special thank you to Hannah Griffin for the wonderful homemade lasagna she brought by last week, Tim and Laura Lee for the wonderful cookies they made us, Grandma Jo Jo & Grandad for the many lunches she has brought us and dinner, Aunt Brooke and Aunt Kelley for the Newk's salads and pizza the other night to Grandaddy Cresswell for bringing over steaks and potatoes to grill out, and To Grandma CC for taking us to the store, taking us to our 1st Dr's visit, buying neccessities, cleaning house, doing laundry, helping change tons of dirty diapers, and taking the morning shift the past 2 weeks!! We could not have done it without all the help and it really means alot. I guess it is true it really does take a village to raise a child! We are so blessed to have such wonderful friends and families who love us and Camden so much!

First Week

Well, we are home and through with our first week. It went pretty smooth and I think we have everything down pretty well for the most part. Still trying to figure out how to catch sleep when Cam is napping, I usually run around doing laundry washing and sterilizing bottles and grabbing a bite to eat. We have had a lot of friends come by to visit Camden and are so sweet to bring us dinner or snacks! We really appreciate it and are getting spoiled. Between our parents and friends I have yet to cook a meal since we have come home! I wanted to include link to the pictures that the hospital took while we were there. Go to http://www.picaboopics.com/ and

Camden's Pictures

Sorry it has taken me a couple of days to get these up, between the feedings, diaper changes, & trying to catch some sleep inbetween, I haven't found time. As I am typing this my eyes keep closing I am so sleepy! But here are Camden's first pictures. I have a picture of the cute stork that is in frount of our house announcing Cam's arrival. I included pictures from the delivery, hospital and finally at home. Also there is a picture of my "push gift" that Trey gave me. It is my other wedding band to go on the other side of my engagement ring. I can't wear it right now b /c I am still very swollen. I hope you enjoy the pictures! I couldn't help but put almost all of them on there. Hope you have some extra time to look at all of them! Thanks for all the congratS! We really appreciate everything.

Camden Reed Lunsford's Birthday

Well Camden is here. (This is Trey posting) It all started out on scary Friday the 13th. (Holly and I will never be superstisious again). I got up for work early Friday morning and Holly felt like she was having contractions. We decided that I would go ahead and go to work and just check in with here throughout the day. I called about 7:30 and she had been timing the contractions at about 10 miniutes apart. I thought it was time to go home and get everything ready to go. By the time I got home she felt like they were getting closer together. We waited about 40 miniute of contractions at about 4 minutes apart and decided to go to the hospital. We got to Baptaist womens about ten miniutes till 10am. Holly went back and got hooked up on the machines to be evaluated. We were a little bit bummed when the same contractions were not taking place through the moitoring, we were thinking that we might have to go back home and wait a little longer. They wanted to keep us a little lionger at out doctor's discression so we waited till about 11am, still being just evaluated. RIght around 11 the nurse came in and said there was going to be a birthday today and Dr. Ruffin was going to induce. We could not believe that Camden was going to be here that day. We got checked in to a room, Holly got IV and all hooked up on the machines. The contractions were starting again and Holly was ready for some pain meds. They gave here some until the epidural could be schedule but those really did not dim the pain from the contractions. Finally the anesthetist came in the perform the epidural. After the completion of the procedure Holly felt like the epidural worked on here left side but not here right. The gave her some more meds and decided to check back later. It was obvious the epidural was not working so they tried to adjust it. This did not work. Holly was in a lot of pain during every contraction. It was time to call the anesthetist back in to perform a second procedure. It worked this time and Holly was very happy (me too). We sort of slowly progressed throughout the day in anticipation of our son. The doctor started coming back more often so I felt like we were getting close. She finally said that Holly was complete and it was time to push. Holly and I were so far along and the time of our birthing class we did not get a chance to practice pushing. There is a first time for everything. Holly could not have done a better job. She could not really feel from the waist down so it was difficult to know where to push to. I guess she hit it right on the head because she started pushing at about 6:25 and Camden was born at 7:14pm. I was the coach along with her mom and her sister. She did so great not complaining or even breaking a sweat, she must be a natural. Everything went perfect. It was so special for us. He is so sweet. He came out crying weighing 7 pounds and 15 ounces and 2o inches long. We are staying in the hospital another night and will go home on Father's Day. Today he has had a big day, first breastfeeding, circumcision, hearing test, professional pictures, and some vaccines! Poor guy is pretty worn out and sleeping most of the day today. We will be posting pictures as soon as we get home and can get them uploaded to the computer. Thanks for all the thoughts, prayers and well wishes! Camden, Holly and I really appreciate and it and feel the love.

We've set a date!

So we went to the doctor yesterday and we discussed the actual induction date before she checked me she said that I would come in on Sunday night and they would put in a cervidil patch which is meant to cause dilation and softening of the cervix then they would start a pitocin drip Monday morning around 5:30 am. But then she checked me and said that I was dilated 3 cm and that she didn't think I needed the cervidil and that I would just need to come in Monday morning at 5:30 am and they will induce. She thinks I won't make it until then but I feel like I will not go into labor anytime soon. I could be wrong, but I have been feeling exactly the same as I have for weeks now with no real changes to speak of. Still no nesting and I wish it would happen already! Trey has been so great he cleaned the house yesterday while I took a nap! Pretty impressive, huh? I feel bad, but he keeps saying "Your NINE months pregnant, please don't feel bad about anything!!" He's awesome, I am too blessed. I will keep everyone posted, it could be any day now:)

No baby yet....

Sorry I haven't posted in a while. I have been so tired lately and last week I worked 4 days so I was especially tired. They weren't all 12 hour shifts I had a daytime classroom one day so my sleep schedule was nice and thrown off! I have gotten into this habit of waking up at 3 or 4 am staying up until Trey goes to work around 6:30 or 7 then going back to sleep and not waking up until 10 or 11 am. My body is all confused! As far as Camden, he is still waiting to come out! We went to the Dr. last week and the doctor said that we could start looking an induction anytime after June 12th. So I didn't like the idea of Friday the 13th, we both tentatively agreed on June 14th which I thought would be great b/c Trey would hopefully be a Father by Father's day. So we went home waiting for the secretary to call us back with the actual time. When she did she said "well we don't really like to schedule inductions on the weekend, so we are just going to keep the date June 16th! And Dr. Ruffin isn't on call that day so you will have to deliver with another doctor!!" Needless to say I wasn't happy, but I couldn't talk to my Dr. directly so I will have to talk with her in the morning about all of this. I can't say I'm happy about delaying it even more, but if they won't do it on the weekend, then I want to at least have my doctor there to deliver! So, basically I'm on maternity leave and still waiting for Camden's arrival. It is ok though because the past two days I have been extremely sleepy and can't seem to have any energy. I guess that means Camden's not ready to be here since I haven't been nesting and running around cleaning the house, as much as I need to:) So for all who are wondering and thinking of us, it looks like he will be here sometime next week.... We are trying to be patient, and just worried about everything being ok and no complications! Keep us in your thoughts and prayers!
